This is turning out to be a bit of a star - on the nose you get a lot of mature strawberries - on the palette you get medium acidity and tannins and still of lot strawberries - a very long and pronounced aftertaste - the wine is very clear and elegant - and really drinking well - happy to increase my rating to big 93. I did not expect this from a Bourgogne Rouge.

Damn this is good. The nose is sweet, spiced and red-fruited deep and saturated. The medium body is round, smooth and taught with dense tannin and precise acid. Flavors hit on crushed and candies red and blue fruit, Loam and graphite minerality and black and chili flake spice. What a wine at this stage in its life.

Drank with Rob while re-watching Somm 1. Wine started a bit cold but opened as it warmed - touch of fruit sweetness on the front, adequate structure and a velvet finish. Wine paired well with hard cheeses, cold cuts and finally, 75% cacao chocolate.

This was a good, but not excellent Bourgogne. The palate has lovely cherry notes with a touch of earth and apparent minerality on the back end. There are ample tannins in this wine, which is surprising given its age, and those tannins make it feel a little rustic for the producer and vintage. Overall, this ia a solid, but one-dimensional, wine.

Can really not add anything to my last rating just a couple of weeks ago.
