Nose started off with violet notes. Decanted for one hour and drank over two. Dark cherries, stewed prunes followed by wet fall leaves. The taste lingered onwards... with a dry-aged, truffle rib-eye, the cherry notes emerged. This wine is at a great point to drink!

Perfect fill and long cork came out perfectly. Good example of aging gracefully.
Ripe red and black currant burst forth on the nose upon opening followed by roasted coffee.
On the palate you can tell everything has integrated very well. Currants, coffee, earth and graphite.
You can let this age longer but it's at it's prime or past it right now and ageing further will just have the fruit fade at this point and bring out more secondary tertiary flavors and aromas but it will continue to age very well.

At seventeen years, this is not showing any signs of diminution. Tasted in mini horizontal with 2k Darioush, this was more subdued, almost closed and tight in comparison. Dark garnet colored, medium full bodied, dark blackberry and black cherry fruit with tones of graphite, black tea, earthy leather, and tobacco.
Deep ruby core with a mix of garnet and brick edges. Layered nose with dark berries, leather, black cherries and a touch of raisins. Nice aged appeal. Very well integrated and balanced with moderate tannins (6/10). Mature palate with layers of dark stewed berries, forest floor and mushrooms. Medium bodied with a long finish. Drink till 2019.

This evolved dramatically after an hour of decanting. Originally it would have been lucky to get 89 and then it really opened up and the oak and tannins strengthened and were in balance.
Showing signs of age with some light brick colors. Less impressive than I would have hoped. Not too much fruit, not too much chocolate and not too much oak - just not that rich or opulent.
