Have had prior vintages of this and I think that the winemaker is going in the right direction, but is not quite there. This is what I would call a baby chianti. A little dirt and flowers on the nose. Cherries and wild strawberries on the palate. Finish was way too short. Unfortunately I think that you can get much more impressive wines from Italy that deliver all of the elements that this is going for at a much better price point. Would not purchase again.

Seemed better as a barrel sample I had during Passport Weekend eight months ago. The fruit is more restrained this time, and the finish is sub-par. I'll sit on these for 6 months and try again.
