Fantastic noble Burgundy! Fully matured and still going strong. Complex layers of black fruits, plumb, truffles, smoked bacon… Reminded me Clos de Tart from the same great vintage.

My first taste of Amoreuses. This wine was dense, dark colored, rich, and actually rather lactic. It was somewhat closed, even a little youthful, and probably still has a ways to peak. I am told that creamy style is typical of the house and I can’t say I’m the greatest fan, but this was a treat nonetheless.

Nice medium ruby, still quite saturated. Classic Burgundy note, not progressive with strong fruits character. Quite subtle floral, cool minerality, savouriness, earth and dry leaves. Good acidity as of 2002, medium flavours intensity accompany by good depth, silky tannin, spicy inner perfume with touch of oak appears at the back, also touch of bitterness (herbs? Whole bunch?). Drinking well now.
