Not much fruit and lots of pepper. I think it definitely needs more time. I'll see how it tastes tonight on day two, going to decant it too as the aerator yesterday didn't do it. It's not a bad wine but just not impressive for my palate.

Decanted 1 hr before drinking. Food pairing: chargrilled ribeye. Scent/Smell: Charcoal and spice, fruit is somewhat overpowered, some sweetness and vanilla. Flavor: Very light and pleasant on the tip of the tongue, with a dark cherry fruit on the mid-palate. Finish is slightly off and not particularly long lasting. Solid but not impressive.
