First Wednesday Wine Club (Francobollo, Haberfield): "Served blind. Slight cork taint, red hued fruits, Brett, gamey, a little vanilla, perfumed. Juicy tends to medium plus intensity acidity, textured, wetly dilute, savoury, slight Brett on the palate, alcohol warmth, dark hued fruits, fresh. Nice French, Languedoc or Roussillon, Syrah dominant blend"

24 years old but still has some structure and fruit. Tannins have all but disappeared but this holds its own against some lighter style 2-5yo Shiraz.

Oxidative nose of VA and porty characters. The palate has a miniscule splash of fruit that keeps it drinkable. Past its best but just holding on.
