Meh. Nice color, attractive nose. Disappoints on the palate; very fruity, with cherry notes dominating, low acidity, soft and flabby. What I call a "cotton candy wine." Far too much of this stuff coming out of California. For the price (around $10), one expects more, even at this level. Cabernet should taste like Cabernet, and this doesn't. Won't make you gag, but won't impress, either.

My sister threw this into a blind tasting with no theme. Nose was showing a strong and annoying clove aroma. On the palate, the clove did not come through at all, just got some weak, cheap-tasting general red-wine character. Tasted like any number of anonymous, cheap grocery store wines, which I pointed out before the reveal. I actually guessed 2017 Sonoma County Pinot Noir, but not confident at all given the low quality of the wine. It wasn't offensive in any way, just not interesting or expressive. I do give it props for not being slathered in vanilla and oak chip flavors, but that actually would have been an improvement for most people, I suspect.
