Pale with a noticeable layer of spritz covering the glass, but not noticeable on the palate. Nose is honeyed and vanillin, with a touch of smoke. Some oak? [There is none but it is matured on lees in stainless steel]. Damp hay. Rounded, medium bodied palate. Persistent acidity. Creamy.

A lovely nose of crispy apples, lemon zest, white cherry and acacia flowers. Structured, with a backbone, balancing acidity with some volume. Minerals in the ba kground.

IWS Rest of Northern Italy tasting (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Rich, a little pan d'apice and baking spice, baked apples, a little botrytised note as well, butter, a little cream. Juicy acidity is medium plus intensity, it's a bit more green than baked apple on the palate which is a lot lighter (other than the abundant alcohol) than the nose implies. Hmm.

Agrumes, fruits jaunes et blanc, un peu d'amertume en bouche, et de la tension, assez proche de l'idée que j'ai d'un côtes du Rhône blanc, c'est bon
