Enojyed this one, though maybe a hair less than the prior bottle from a couple years back. It's a fun profile, and a nice pair to a range of desserts. The cherry is there, but so it that lovely boozy barrel note.

With a beer called Mon Cheri, it had to be our Valentine's Day night cap. served with a few selections from the heart shaped chocolate boxes! i had this on tap close to release and was looking forward to cracking into a bottle. The cherry fruit is there on the nose, which was fun. My wife thought she was picking up some ginger notes, there was something piquant about it. Really nice match with dark chocolate (well, yeah). Very mild carbonation, makes me think my one remaining bottle should be enjoyed on the younger side. A fun variant, likely the higher toned flavor profile overall, not a bruiser and hides the ABV oh so well.

Full disclosure: I can't offer a full review as this was the last beer at the end of a long evening. Nevertheless, the cherry didn't come through nearly as strongly as I was expecting, and was more on the finish than anything. Beyond that, it drinks like a darker BCBS with a dash of cacao, but it doesn't quite hit all of the expected marks.
