Floral ripe nose. Decent concentration and glossy style of wine, very smooth. Fairly dark fruit and lacks longer finish for higher rating. On day 2 slight baked fruit notes

Another really wonderful bottle of this wine. PnP from 500 ml bottle. 12.6% ABV. Translucent medium to dark ruby color. Nose is lightly herbal with ripe red cherry, baking spices and red florals. Beautiful texture and density which belies the low alcohol. Palate has dark cherry, red plum, pomegranate and dark floral notes. Finish is very minerally, saline and lightly vanilla inflected. Elegant yet rich and impeccably balanced. Terrific with medallions of venison. Plenty of room for improvement with time in the cellar.

Deep purple. Bright. Raspberry and cherry nose. Some wets stones add to the mix on the palate. Not much acidity or complexity. Medium finish. Not close to the levels reached by the Hillsides.

My guess is this gets better in a year or three - drank from a 375 to see what it was doing. It's quite dark, but not heavy - it needs some of its structure to abate a little, and feels quite compact and self-absorbed at the moment.
