Opened & poured out two glasses an hour before serving. Red currant & plummy aromatics right away. Full bodied, Merlot dominant wine this shows dark cherry, butter chocolate & some plums from start to finish. Tannic & showing good length. A very nice wine from Blaye, but stays in one gear throughout.

Hmm, one for the price of two - first bottle was corked so had to grab a second. Anyway, once there, this was a nice wine with potential - still tight, but not a bad drink. Dusty red fruit, moderately tannic, cedar and cigars on the nose and palate. The nose a bit restrained; the palate, more expressive. On the whole, quite evocative of a classic young Bordeaux.

Hard to describe. Not to sound like a broken record, but it was ok.
