This was good on day one, with a balanced nose and some mild tannin. Held up ok on day two, but some bitterness was felt. Better nose though, with some liquorice. At 5€ this is VERY useful.

I've had my ups and downs with reds from Marche but I tend to like Conero more than Piceno. Bought this to see what a 9 euro Rosso Conero (widely available at the swedish monopoly) could bring to the table. My expectations were quite low so I was positively surprised by this wine.
Youthful nose with moderate aroma intensity but there are some pretty aromas to be found. Dark sour cherry fruit, fresh herbs, almond paste and a whiff of grounded black pepper. Just above mid-weight with good freshness and a little bite from the tannins. Moderate intensity and rather short finish but free from any artificial, jammy or cloying notes.
A decent Conero and it went really well with our Easter lamb.
