Poured single glass form Coravin. Appearance- pale garnet with clear rim. Heavy, non-staining legs. Initial nose of latex and band aid quickly blew off with some air. Now, the nose is mainly red fruits- red cherry dominate, maybe some strawberry. Honeysuckle and orange blossom flower. No new oak evident. On the palate, the wine is dry, even with sweet fruit. Medium plus acidity, Medium tannin that is very fine in nature. Medium alcohol (despite legs telling otherwise), and medium body. Palate confirms nose, bright red fruits like red cherry and some cranberry, even Smarties candy from the wrapper. Again no new oak. Medium length finish, not terribly complex. Nice sipper, never would have called California Cabernet Sauvignon if tasted blind, even Santa Cruz.

Via Viticole: Dark and red fruits give way to fines-herbes and tobacco notes. There is floral character and umami lift that has integrated beautifully. The tannin is present but fine-grained with a crunchy texture . Now – 2030+
