  • Something was off on this bottle, or maybe it is not my style, but more likely the former. Not like any pinot I have had and tossed most of it out.

  • The note below somewhat appies as well for us, yet we did not get any green or herbal hit. A bit murky in appearance, which is not a problem for us. The predominating character was rusticity / a sauvage aspect — moreso than our experience with other reds from this fine house. Still, not complaining: we enjoyed it very much over three nights.

  • See my note of Deceomber 2019. The wine is drinking exceptionally well and punches well above its weight as an appellation wine. Certainly can last for several years, butdrinking beautifully now. 91-92.

  • Light on its feet and dangerously drinkable. Red fruits encase a molten core of dark red fruit, shading to black and spice. A green herbal streak adds savoriness and complexity. The acidity is on point and the tannins already well integrated. A great appellation wine that kicks QPR in the face, then makes love to it and finally buys it dinner. I don’t know exactly what that all means, other than the fact that it’s delicious and a stupid good value. 13.4% abv.
