  Sometimes I feel the Smaragd wines are to big for my current taste, but every time I come across a great example I thoroughly enjoy it (like the Honivogl Smaragd a couple of weeks ago), as with this one. Medium+ intensity on the nose; ripe, petrol, peach, nectarine, ripe grapefruit. Medium+ acidity, long finish. No hurry here

  Still in its infancy of course, but already beautiful. Such a joy to drink this riesling and very happy I still have 4 more for further development. Starts with a bit of petrol, lime, white peach, pear, nice minerality and flint. High acidity, but already nicely in balance. And an amazingly long finish (minutes!). Already developing different aroma’s and flavors in the two hours the bottle was open.
