Spent 2 hours in decanter. Dark red, saturated colour with hints of blue/purple. Not a lot of aroma, but definitely high on berries, perhaps blackcurrant. Quite concentrated taste with impressing fruit and some maturity. Very smooth tannins, delicate. Will keep longer, although will hardly benefit from further keeping.

Clean. Medium intensity with aromas of sour cherry rosemary sage fennel and raspberry.
Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. Medium intensity with flavours of cherry raspberry and greens herbs.
Medium finish. Good. Drink now not suitable for further ageing. Sharp and a bit green lacks depth. Like the attempt at a northern Rhone style but a little too much restraint. Clean and real not sure about the picking decision - look forward to trying the last half of the bottle tomorrow.
Day 2 a little mores resolved. Think of it on the Pinot side of Syrah. +1 pt.

Medium (+) ruby red colour. Medium nose with eucalyptus, blackberry, smoke, red currant and white pepper. Medium taste of red currant, red cherry, cranberry, stems, white pepper, mint, leather and oak. Medium (+) long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. A very good Canadian Syrah with a surprisingly high acidity out of the bottle. Needed two hours of air to open up and integrate. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with game.

Syrah aromas, with dark forest berries, leather, black olives and some oak. Juicy mouth feeling with pronounced acidity. A bit short.

Syrah aromas, with pepper and dark forest berries, like crawling. Juicy mouth feeling with rather simple fruit. Evident acidity.
