Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Previous tasting note holds. No signs of aging which suggests it will mature slowly for 15, 20 years, likely longer. Crib theft: Guilty. Comparable mature wines at this price: none.

Should you encounter the 2016 Domaine Brusset bottles, fill your cellar.

  • Crimson saturated color, interesting nose, deep forest, Autumn garden, spice. What a lovely wine, round, full bodied, soft suede ripe tannins, sophisticated Rhone taste rather than rough fur, a solid base of enjoyable fruit over ever so subtle hints of thyme, candied fruit, exotic citrus. Opens up in minutes, has the concentration to age for some years. Price is quite reasonable given the quality.

    The winemaker deserves praise.
