Opened at 7:30 am and put into a decanter at 5:00. Still a deep dark crimson. The nose is a rounded red fruit basket with a bit of cloves. Still a bit tanic but the fruit is just shining thru. More a cranberry pomegranate profile but its quality is undeniable. Give this another 7-10 years and it’s going to become a very fine bottle of wine. Today 91 ish but a lot of upside.

Bu sur 7 jours, en 3 fois. Carafé de nombreuses heures chaque fois. Pas mauvais, mais trop de bois à mon goût et ce même le dernier jour. Pas mal de fruits (noirs, murs) et un peu de tabac/épices, mais acidité qui pourrait être plus présente. J'attend au moins 3-5 ans pour la dernière de 2.

Deep garnet colour. Medium (+) nose with black cherry, leather, tobacco, dark chocolate, eucalyptus and dried herbs. Medium (+) taste of black cherry, leather, dark chocolate, tobacco, forest floor and dried herbs. Long and dry finish. Medium (+) acidity. High tannins. Full body. A very good Brunello with great potential. Decanted for four hours. Keep for at least five years. Goes well with beef, game or lamb.

Fine and elegant Brunello, perhaps in a slightly vilses phase as it was kind of tannic at first and didnt really open up until after 3 hours.
