Thought I’d broach another bottle of Rauzan Gassies 1967 and this one is the best yet.
This is quite bright ruby with some browning at the edges. Quite bizarrely this isn’t too dissimilar to the Fourrier GC 2017 we opened a few weeks ago. The nose is of old Bordeaux but the palate is of vibrant red cherries and there is a nice acid backbone still present. Quite a surprise!
