The first 24 hours this was nothing but harsh tannins and Rhone dirt (ok minerals). It sort of softened enough to let the fruit finally emerge on night #3 but not enough to say that I liked it. The fruit is there and relatively ripe and somewhat reminiscent of Bordeaux that is not quite out of the dumb stage. If you have any in your cellar give it another 5 years. A

Lovely, with notes of earth, black olives and pepper. Quite elegant and balanced. Should be better still in 5 years.
