  Wine night wine with the felllas…
  Give it an hour of air and it hits the sweet spot. Not gonna blow your mind but a beautiful rendition of classic Napa Cabernet. Lovely to drink, still a bit of grip to it with maybe 5 years left?

  Exuberant, youthful and bursting with ripe blackcurrant. Not a ton of structure but so much lush fruit and very fun to drink. Light tannins and little acidity but who cares - its alcoholic Ribena so must be good for you!

  The 85 Beringer Private Reserve is fully-mature, mellow yet fresh, offering a harmonious nose of blue and black berries, sage, rosemary, and leather, rendered in a balanced, cool manner. A lovely drink.

  Today this has settled into a beautifully mature phase with blackberry, crème de cassis, blueberry and plum supported by sage, mint, leather and mineral notes. The palate weight is moderate, but the cool mature fruit and terroir are delivered beautifully.
  
  At the time Howell Mountain, St. Helena and Oakville were the primary fruit sources for this wine, and each terroir stands out to me as you drink this. Such a great expression of 80's Napa Valley.
