  Heb er nog meer van genoten dan van eerste flesje 2 weken geleden.
  Perfect rijp, toont redelijk wat evolutie qua kleur, maar op een mooi plateau, denk ik. Perfecte match bij een stukje Limousin - entrecôte.

  Eerste flesje uit een kist van 12. Durfde ze niet eerder openen (een volle kist openmaken doet toch iets). Uiteindelijk toch een mooi flesje. Perfect op dronk. Zeker geen grote waw, maar een lekker no nonsens wijntje.

  Epic vintage, second tier producer...so set expectations appropriately I say! But this was actually very good and drank beautifully. Quite fragrant on open, but opened throughout the evening and evolved the most on the nose. Initially black cherries, leather and hints of smoke. Hours later it's more fruit forward, dominated by sour cherries and strawberries on the nose. Palette is balanced and complex, lots going on. Super long finish (>1 minute), soft tannins...this is a beautiful Bordeaux to kick off a hopeful year. Never had this before, a wonderful discovery, but sadly a single that I had in my cellar.

  Ruby red in colour with faint notes of berries and fruit jam. Soft, palatable and easy-to-drink, this wine had notes of mushrooms, cherries and chocolates.

  Not bad, in that it's more or less ready to drink and quite attractive, but as in many 05's tasted so far, the fruit isn't quite right: not burnt as in 03, but with a slightly high-pitched, over-cooked whiplash. The tannins don't help this impression, but I fear that once the tannins really die down, the remaining fruit will be on the wane anyway. Having said that, this is better than the specious 00. I shall wait another two years for my second bottle and keep my fingesr crossed.
