Notes of boysenberry, red plum, sage and white pepper. Full-bodied, with medium tannins and flavors of red fruit. There’s a resiny quality as well. Finishes with good length.

Bold green pepper on the nose and palate mingled with a sweet dark fruit mid to finish. Interesting wine and would be great with Mexican or a dish with chicken. Second day still holding the green pepper on the nose, a little less on the palate, but still drinking great!

Very dark purple. Jalapeno dominates the nose, with, black pepper, black fruit. Big tannins, but fairly smooth. Leathery texture. More herbal, bell pepper type stuff in the mouth, with a finish of green japaleno, spices, and blackberry. At first there was a lot of bitterness and a burnt wood note. With lots of air time it allowed the fruit to come through more but the bitterness never fully mellowed. Good, but the overly vegetal characters and the dark toasted oak were a bit much, I think even for carmenere.

Fresh, uncomplicated, scant red fruit, nice peppery finish. A good daily drinker for a very modest price.
