Really enjoyable Riesling from northern Alto Adige. Bouquet of some saffron, grapefruit, schist and some elderberries. The palate is tight but with a good length at the same time. One of the best Italian Riesling’s I had so far.

Aromas of petrol, pear, apple, lime, jasmine. On the palate bright sharp acidity with good concentration of flavors. Medium plus finish. Good QPR- had w/a curry dish, lovely pairing.

Driving through Eisacktal on the way to Villnosstal the vines looked amazing - steeply set and bathed in warm mountain sun. More German or federspiel weight than the smagarad I was expecting. The wine was a racy, mineral, just-ripe yellow stonefruit delight.

Underripe peaches and apricots, some tropical fruit notes too (mango, papaya), a bit of plastic. Good minerality. Medium + acidity, medium bodied. This is drinking decently now and it will probably get better in 1-2 years.
