Glassware: Grassl Cru Prep: Pop n' pour, followed over a couple days
Pretty nose of red raspberry, cherry, violets, and baking spice. On the palate the wine is rich, polished and mouthcoating, full in body with supple tannins, expressing flavors of mixed berry compote, florals, smoke, and a touch of dried sage. Though ripe, and I'm assuming reflective of the vintage, there is a good acidic backbone and core of inorganic minerals that carries through in the finish for this wine. A very enjoyable wine.
