Wow, this was great. The first thing one notices is the texture of the wine in the mouth, almost prickly or worsted. Then the wine smooths out and unfurls as it airs, showing light honey notes, a touch of spice, sun-baked white fruits, no oxidation, still very fresh, sides rounded with age but still buttressed by good acidity. Kept developing nuances over the course of the evening. Thanks, Ray. At Estela.

White Icons @ my place (Netherlands): This is a real 'odd-ball'... Citrusfruit, apricot and red berries are seasoned with spices like nutmeg, vanilla, black pepper and thyme. It has a light and fresh presentation at first but then firms up in your mouth. Hard to discribe since it hardly has any resemblance to any other white wine I know. Noble, but tenacious and intriguing. 18.5/20

Medium straw yellow; fabulous aromas of honey, flowers and mediterranean herbs, citrus fruit; perfect weight and stuffing, lovely ripe and vivacious acidity, perfectly absorbed oak, lovely bitters; outstanding length, but here the intrinsic limitations of the Trebbiano show, there is no peacock's tail, just citrus, oak and herbs. Layered and multi-dimensional, lots of finesse, clearly a meticulously made wine. the ultimate that Trebbiano can be.

Bouquet of honey, spice. On the palate liquid stone, high viscosity, some apricot, good acidity.

Very soft an very special. Minerals, volcanic impressions. Spices like nutmeg. Good acidity. An excellent and complex wine.
