This was flat out delicious. Bright and "crunchy", with cranberry, florals and hints of earth. Niepoort has done a great job at taming the tannins of Baga. This almost reminds me of a Cru Beaujolais. Light, bouncy and gulpable. With only 12.5% ABV, this was gone in a flash.

Red fruits, plum, spice, florals and sichuan pepper on the nose. It's beautifully balanced, mid weighted, and supple yet sappy on the palate. More spice, pepper, and red fruits on the palate with beautifully balanced acid adding lift. Perfumed and very interesting. I still think it reminds me of a blend of Fleurie and pelaverga. An absolutely fantastic pairing with a Greek tomato based braised lamb shank. Delicious and a joy to drink.

Red fruits more than plum, pepper, some savory notes on the nose. It smells and tastes a little like it was carbonic macerated, but i have no idea if it is. Mid weighted, with snappy fruit, a sense of sap and freshening acidity. Reminds me of a mix of a Cru Beaujolais (more Fleurie than Morgon) and Pelaverga. Quite nice, and very good with simple food. This is not the end all in complexity, but it is complex enough to be interesting and is flat out delicious to drink.

Simply delicious! Ripe red fruit, oak, some secondary leathery notes. Very fresh. Slightly chewy tannic finish.
