Just an incredible showing from Togni. Great wine makes make great wine in good years and in ordinary years and Philip & Lisa demonstrate that here.
The nose has a Cherry Cola almost Root Beer nose that is sweet to the nose. Color is red and translucent, almost Pinot like. Palette is extremely balanced. Mid-palette is full, with beautiful balance of fruit, acid and wood. Limited spice notes, more fruit forward expression.
Matches in quality and style to the '17 Philip Togni Vineyard main label and incredible QPR for this high quality wine.

This has aged nicely, and settled down. The alcohol which was predominant when this was younger has receded nicely. It's still riper than the flagship, and lacking in some of the nuance, but it's a tasty and well-proportioned American cab with good dark fruit, and integrated oak and tannins.

Pre Valentine's Tasting (Chicago Wine Consulting - Glenview IL): Walk-around tasting. Ripe and fleshy black plum and cherry. Good enough weight, still firm tannins for now, but good potential 2023 forward.

92 after a day of air. Needs a year or two yet to settle - comes off as hot on PNP.
