  • Huge peach and apricot fruit. Great snap and fruit on the palate. Huge minerals. Very ripe but with amazing acid, freshness and energy. Depth that seems to go on forever. This is my 3rd time with this wine and it has been spectacular every time. Pretty much everyone at the table found it quite impressive as well. This is hard to find in the U.S. since it wasn't imported - my dad tasted it at the winery and liked it so much that he imported as case himself! Thanks Dad! Consistent with previous notes so I will not score it again.

  • Dad brought two bottles of this for the large group, but of course one was more than enough. The nose is sick. Feels like botrytis. Peach. Huge pits. Tropical. The palate is past believable. Rich and thick but mostly dry. Spicy peach. Apricots tropicals. This is like a Feinherb on steroids. The closest thing I can think of is the 2012 Selbach-Oster Ur Alte but this is much darker and more golden. Both amazing. 17.5/20.

  • So my dad liked this so much when he tasted as Clemens Busch that he bought a case and brought it back himself. I can see why. When the nose opened up it was golden and ripe with red apple, spice, minerals, flowers, honey. Shows some sweetness and pulverized stone. The palate is huge - like a Alsatian VT. Semi-sweet, Feinherb style (maybe 15-20 g/L RS). Super ripe but banging acid - peach, peach pit, stones, great citrus - lime, spicy, burning. Great bitter mineral-stone fruit pit finish. This is what 2010 is all about. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20
