A good bottle but more savory and dense than I was expecting. This was opened in the bottle most of the day and actually gain acid and grip as time went on. Full bodied and herbaceous (whole cluster) with baked plum, spice and mineral. This needs time to unwind and for fruit to blossom.

Wednesday night wines (Chez Pavlovich, Westchester-LA California): There is a distinctive plush quality to the fruit on the nose with bright red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, fresh herbs, crushed rocks, violets, perfumes, crushed flowers, and a touch of oak. There is excellent complexity and balance to the nose that is very inviting. The Medium bodied feel shows off the plushness of the nose with crisp, medium acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. This is clearly extremely young and will need the better part of 10+ years to really show itself off. There is a slickness to the tones on both the nose and palate that is very much within the style of Gerard Mugneret. This isn't a rustic NSG or even close to that. It is a lovely and expressive Red Burg that I would love to try again down the road as it provided a lot of enjoyment now and will only get better.

NOSE: red-fruited; "fresh"; light oak; touch of pine (Off bug spray); Fruity Pebbles cereal; a little bit meaty; complex, and fairly expressive at this point in time.
BODY: violet-garnet color of medium depth; medium bodied.
TASTE: spicy; bitter florals; non-descript red fruits; nice back-end meaty note; fine tannin; pretty open; nice; seems it will benefit from a good 10 years in the cellar; 13.5% alc.; embedded meaty mineral note. Really nice, and probably my favorite wine of the evening for drinking right now, notwithstanding this wine's bright future. Gut impression score: 93 – 94.

Opened in the bottle all day. Tighter and more austere that the other 1ers. Black cherry, mineral and savory whole cluster. Needs time to soften.
