Pale-medium ruby color, medium- intensity, almost “soft” but very nice nose of strawberry and red plum. Some dried herbs/fennel too, and a touch of mineral. Some secondary notes of cedar and clove. On the palette is red plum again, medium- body, medium-low tannins, but slightly higher acidity. Medium alc and dry. Overall a lovely example of a Bourgogne that punches above its weight. Nicely balanced all around, not a long finish but very enjoyable. This shows that at the lower end of the pyramid French Pinot can still compete on a QPR basis. A fab daily drinker. Faith restored that Burgundy can be enjoyed as a regular lovely wine, rather than something to be consumed in hushed over-priced citadels while bowing and genuflecting.

Complex nose. Maybe I get some herbal notes, feshly cut grass? Solid backbone, more than expected. Tannins are a bit raspy. All in all, it's pretty pleasant.

Mid-colour; pretty nose, fresh red fruit, bit of hedgerow; juicy, tannins on the rasping side, low acidity; plenty on a forthright finish. Safest to drink over short term
