This is a unique one. Not sure if they intend to make it in the style of Tavel, a rose that I have limited experience with anyway. I say Tavel due to the similar darker color. I can't quite pin down any distinct aromas other than slight suggestions of dusty chalk and very faint strawberry. On the palate, if blinded I'd say this is a white wine due to the fuller, roundish, body with some strawberry. Certainly not a dry wine as there's a suggestion of sweetness, perhaps hidden a touch with the stated 14.1 ABV. At this stage there isn't any tannic dryness either, but not sure if this style ever intended for that. If you want a Provencal Rose certainly look elsewhere as that's clearly not TC's intent. This drinks well for what it isn't and can last a few more years. Giving it an 85 which is the top of the Good rating range.

Yeah, I know, 93 points is a bit high for a rosé. This has plenty of gusto to still hold up to food. Great on it's own as well. Can probably go another year not that I recommend that. Good weight to it, not a wimpy rosé.

- Pink color with fast forming legs and aromas of strawberry, geranium and lemon. It's balanced and has flavours of strawberry jam and lemon with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Mineralogy on the finish too.

Refreshing and light with a bit of Mourvèdre grip on the finish. Great little quaffer.
