  Medium ruby in glass. Some haze. Medium plus on the nose. Ripe black cherry, plum, sauvage and minerality. Much riper and denser than cote de brouilly. Medium acidity and medium minus tannins. Nice, soft finish.

  Needed to breath. Was fantastic with food after. Raspberry jam on the palette initially with high acidity.

  Opened last night. A bit firm and austere at that time. 24 hours later, it has evolved quite a bit. Loads of sediment in a purplish wine. Violets and lilacs in the nose, quite forward. Boysenberry. Very similar in the mouth. Has a hint of madeira on the finish somehow. This is good, but not worth $48. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.

  First bottle Had some reduction issues but this bottle had no reduction issues at all. Deep red fruits. Checked all the boxes on really good cru Beaujolais.
