  Crimson-black; plums, blueberries, tobacco, tar, wood smoke; rustic berry/cherry, medium body, good acidity, firm astringent tannins, nice finish.
  Aromatic nose with brambly fruit and tobacco notes. Softened over dinner, should have decanted. Clearly an excellent blending wine for colour, complexity and tannins.
