  • A blend of Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%). Fermented in stainless steel (90%) and 400-liter oak barrels (10%). Aged for 16-20 months on the lees before disgorgement. 13% alcohol.

Pale green color. Youthful and fruity nose with aromas of pear-flavored yogurt, some candied apple gummi bear tones, a little bit of leesy yeast and a hint of white peach. The wine is dry, fruity and slightly candied on the palate with flavors of gummi bears, some apple-flavored yogurt, a little bit of woolly lanolin, light mineral notes of chalk dust, a hint of mealy red apples and a touch of yeast. To be honest, the wine really doesn't taste that fresh or attractive. The crisp mousse feels very fine and silky. High acidity. The acid-driven finish is quite long with flavors of mealy yellow apples, some yeasty tones, a little bit of sour apple candies, light apple peel bitterness and a hint of unripe pear.

Meh. A rather mediocre MCC. The wine is dry and crisp, but flavor-wise it is lacking in freshness and brightness. Not really up my alley.
