  Decanted for a little more than an hour. Enjoyed over the next 3 hours. Cherry tobacco on the nose. Initially there were chalky tannins and subtle fruit on the palate. Over time, more blue fruit and tannins softened. The finish is average. I’d rate wine higher if finish was longer. It’s a decent effort, but I’m stuck trying to determine if QPR is there at $150.

  Purple fruit - currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with a nice purity and decent depth/concentration - medium/medium plus body. Nice rich flavors of dark berries, spice/licorice, and a little graphite component. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep - it could use some more time to open-up especially with the finish which isn’t a surprise in light of its youth. Decanted for two hours and drank over a couple more. Improved a little with time. 93 for me at this stage, however, I believe the 94+ rating from WA and 95 rating from Galloni make sense with some more time - another year or two in my opinion. WA anticipated maturity 2020 to 2038. 100% cab.
