Quite closed, light reduction, shy limey scents are followed by an almost painful mouthfeel, with lots of dry extract, crushed pebbles and concentrated lime juice. This intense infant has lots of potential, it really has to be cellared to reveal its potential.

Decanted and consumed over 1 hour. A little reticent at first, but after 30 minutes this opened up. Light aromas of citrus and white flowers. Moderate flavors of lemon/lime with subtle caramel on a lingering powerful finish. Moderate+ acidity. Medium body/moderate complexity. Young, but drinkable now. Revisit in 2030. 93+

Skillful reduction with oak which then reveals orchard fruit, orange blossom, caramel, marshmallow, pure vanilla and spice; impressive that it is not overly done at all. Round, rich with pointy precision; big structure and deep finish if not terribly long. 93

Previous note from last year still applies. Operating in a nice place for my palate. Fresh and a little serious, with a decent amount of body and weight to provide depth and concentration. Enough zip (especially for a 2018) to keep it interesting, driving the flavors across the palate with medium+ oomph. Lemon, travertine, Squirt, lime rind, and white peach notes.
Given Germain's unfortunate track record for premox, I'd murder these bottles sooner than later - invest in DIAM bro! A very good wine nonetheless. Paired well with a fantastic skin-on chicken and Israeli couscous dish.

One of the best '18s I've had. Perhaps a touch fatter than the '17 but not inferior. Superb white burg.
