I chose this bottle because I thought we would just have a modest glass each and save at least half of the bottle for tomorrow when presumably it would have opened up more. In the end we drank the whole thing. It paired well with the food (Beef bourguignon), the nice warm spring evening, and the good family conversation poolside. A lovely Pinot that shows more spice and earth then fruit. An old vine Pommard bottling that is appreciated for its rareness and feminine freshness that has interest as it opens up. Cheers to Dundee Hills!
