Tangible Burgundian winemaking sensibility. Wonderfully ripe and juicy tangerine and lime from the warm vintage balanced by flinty minerality. Elegant body, neither fat nor steely. Very good value and what an opportunity to discover the potential of Aligoté.

Rescue Animal gathering at Jailbreak - all Burgundy (Jailbreak Brewery, Laurel, MD): Tasted blind, expressive nose displaying perfectly ripe succulent yellow fruit, peach, apple, lemon curd, steel, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, nicely layered opulent yellow fruit, rich but nicely balanced, bright acidity and mineral, and a long concentrated yellow fruit driven finish. Everyone except Jeff W prefers this and guesses it to be the expensive one.

Sometimes, when I from time to time open a bottle of expensive wine, I ask myself if it's worth the price. That's what I did when I opened this Bouzeron. I thought: Why pay loads of money for a fashionable mersault, when you can buy this wonderful Jadot Bouzeron for a fraction of the price? If I hadn't bought and opened the bottle myself, I would with self-confidence label this as a decent mersault costing at least twice as much as it actually did. It's true - the prices in burgundy has increased significantly in recent years. However, in my mind, top wine makers like Jadot has also improved the quality on their less acclaimed and more reasonable priced wines, i.e. from the less known appellations. I will buy a few bottles of this, and see how it developes over the next 4 to 5 years. I highly recommend this wine!
The wine was concentrated, elegant, the right balance between minerals and butter-references.

Excellent value burgundy, full yellow color, great with fish or baked goods. Can stand up on its own even against flavourful dishes.

Excellent quality and complexity for an aligote. A steal at less than 30 a bottle. Drinking well now.
