taste: it’s kind of cidery and not very s chardonnay like. the color is very dark. while an older wine (7 years old), i don’t think this is age, i think it’s flaws.

Light yellow in color. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus zest, vanilla creme brulee, buttered popcorn and toasted nuts. Quite layered and rich palate shows honeyed and buttered golden apples, yellow citrus, hint of baking spice, good acidity and a firm finish.

Full body Chardonnay from Russian River. Golden in color with aromas of vanilla and crème brûlée. On the palette, butter, marzipan with some lemon cest in the aftertaste.

Stored in a cabinet in my apartment that regularly got to 80+ degrees for 1 year then moved to eurocave. An interesting experiment in storage. Pale gold color. Tropical nose -- pear, pineapple, stone. Pretty big body, fairly buttery, coconut, pear, cherry. Some nutty element. M- acid. On point typicity for your typical liquor store cali chard. Alcohol is well in balance, barely, barely noticeable. I think it improves with a bit of air. Overall, I lean more sparkly chard so it's too much body for me but the "butter" does have a deft hand. Would have preferred a bit more acid and not much je ne sais qoui or magic to elevate into a VG+ wine but yeah, it's not a bad sipper. Tastes back end of peak. Concerning price, I think it's pretty fair for what you get so I would not say that there is QPR here.

Great value Chardonnay. New world Chard. Tropical juice. Burghounds need not apply. Good, not great.
