Gorgeous deep purple with medium violet at the edges. Deep blackberries and a bit of plum on the nose. Delicious, deep, unctuous fruits that hit you like a punch in the mouth. Notes of cranberries, raspberries, pomegranate, and a sense of sediment with no actual dregs. A powerhouse of a wine if you’re in that kind of a mood.

Nose: [59°] Dark red cranberry skins, a bit of blueberries, dried forest floor, maybe a bit of tobacco, crushed rock, slightly intense dried oak and some heat.
Palate: [64°] Deep bitter earth, similar cranberry skins with a bit of bitterness, stems, bitter oak and heavily steeped bitter tea. Dark red and black fruits are there but act as a backdrop. A flare of heat on the finish accompanied by some spiced oak. With time, the bitterness integrates into something just a little bit more bearable but retains the heat and firm spiced oak on the finish.
Attributes: Clear dark medium ruby. Dry with medium amounts of grainy tannin. Medium-minus to medium body with light acidity. Good finish of at least 16-18 seconds.
Thoughts: Give this a hefty decant to for things to settle and integrate a bit better. Not sure if air time will help with the harsh heat.
Other notes: Bordeaux glass. Slow-ox'ed in bottle for the duration of consumption over 1.5 hours, recommend decanting for at least 2 hours.

Not ready... needs some aging. Give it 5+ years and maybe give it a go.
