Poured with a nice dark garnet color. However, the nose possessed and retained a distinct green note of unripe grapes that did not fade with time (2+ hours). Underneath were some nice dark fruit notes, a hint of cassis and pencil lead. The mouthfeel was silky and the tannins have faded yet lurk underneath providing backbone. The green notes just made for a less pleasurable wine that otherwise might have been.

Nice purplish color and dark fruit, ripe plums and a bit of sandalwood on the nose. I was surprised I still had this hanging around and felt like a change of pace. It took a little bit to integrate in the glass but offered notes of oak, blackberry, mulberry and tobacco. It was smooth with a medium-bodied mouthfeel and soft tannins. Very pleasant taste profile with a moderate finish.

Big nose featuring plum. Falls off on the palate, more subdued. Medium to short finish. Some easy tannins remain. Not a particularly big or heavy cab, medium mouth feel. To its credit, as the bottle finished, the tannins firmed up and there was a lingering concentration throughout, right from the tip of your tongue and down the middle of the palate. Surely past its prime, but probably too $. Drink now.

This has aged very will. Cherry, pomegranate and some wet dirt.

Tart blackberry, black current, and vanilla notes. Slightly thin finish.
