Wow. Forced myself to slow down and sip. Between its aroma, unctuousness on the tongue, and taste buds sensation one of the best Chardonnays I have had the pleasure to drink in decades.

My favourite Lato bottling as of yet. This wine is in a complete harmony and balance. Layers of refined tropical fruits like mango and guava, nuances of brioche and butterscotch, warm Mediterranean Sea breeze on the nose. The palate is complete rounded and smooth with seamlessly integrated acidity, sweetness and minerality. I am sure it will get even better with time.

It’s Thanksgiving and I am thankful to be drinking this splendid Chard. So smooth, damn near chugging it. The fruit is mild and breezy, like marine melon/ozone. Vanilla cream and wood notes from oak are forward, in a tasteful amount. Acidity is spot-on. Wonderful effort overall.

Highly flavorful with some herbal elements. Very good but not quite yet integrated (less so than the Oliver's chard). I'd give this one another year or two to see if it melds better.

Another excellent Chardonnay from Paul Lato. Balanced and sophisticated. A "Gran Cru" producer of the Central Coast. Among the best in California.
