We put this up against a Pali and Peake Ranch from the same vintage and vineyard. This was #3 out of the group. We picked up a lot of barnyard floor funk upon opening. It calmed down after a bit, but overall not as integrated as the Pali and Peake Ranch, less complexity, and overall grape quality, color, weight was less than the others. Still good though - but it was revealing to put this against the other two.

PnP. Red fruit, strawberry, cranberry, spice aromas and flavors. medium body. Light tannins in a short finish. Borders on sweet and over extracted.

Quick decant. Better than last bottle - very nice balance and depth of fruit notes. Good finish, too.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Medium body, light cherry, good acid. Not enough depth to match my favorite vintages of this wine, but still solid.
