  • Nose: grassy & some tropical fruits. Mouth: grassy, grassy, grassy. If you like this style, it's a home run. For us, not our style. Did I say 'grass'? Besides my sarcasm, you can tell it's made with quality practices, procedures, etc. There is a certain elegance about the taste. Not for us, though. Esp at the price point. Will take a NZ Malborough [sp?] any day.

  • Novovino's spring portfolio: nose: very interesting nose as it isn't as fruit driven as many new world sauvignon blancs are. Good creamy tones with a good helping of smoke, honeydew melons, and tart tones of lemon peels. Good depth on the nose with an attractive quality to it

taste: excellent light feel with high acidity. Well balanced tones creams , smoke, citrus', and honeydew work well together

overall: a very interesting and highly enjoyable sauvignon blanc. This isn't for those that want a lot of citrus in their SBs as there is a good amount of smoke tones on both the nose and palate. If one is more inclind towards a different profile, then this would be an interesting wine to check out

  • I loved the color of this wine - like a pure, clean tinted spring water. Grass, melon, peach, and citrus on the nose. Somewhat unusual on the palate - a distinctly sweet, sappy character though I presume there's no residual sugar. The sweetness seems to drain the energy from this wine and I don't get the zing I usually like from SB. My wife asked if I'd opened a dessert wine when she'd asked for SB! Although I enjoyed drinking this wine it's not what I want from a SB.

  • Brisk, clear and refreshing. Not much fruit flaovr or any grassy notes.
