On opening, had a stony/petrol taste behind the fruit. After 1/2 hour or so, this mostly dissipated, letting notes of honeysuckle and pear. Quite delicious, with great body. Drank with Chilean sea bass in lemon-caper-butter sauce, brown rice, sauteed zucchini rounds.

Just one of my absolute favorite white Burgundy producers and this bottle showed beautifully - first taste of this wine since I first had it on release. Started really reductive - less stylized PYCM character, more Roulot - struck match/gunflint. This settled after about 20-30min in a decanter but was still present - toasted sesame, fresh and baked green apple, baking spice, butter (buttered popcorn notes). If you enjoy reductive wine making, this wine is absolutely on point.

First time trying 2018s from Bachelet-Monnot. Quite reductive and shut down for the first 20 minutes, but then starts to unfurl. By end of 1.5 hrs open it had really cohered into a lovely villages with good freshness and balance. A bit more Puligny than Chassagne to me. Does not show heat of the year but should drink well young but give it a year or two.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Even better nose vs Puligny, more floral and spiced. Slightly less complex on palate with less concentration. Almost as good.
