What a difference a day makes! Upon opening, cherry cough syrup with a raisiny, funky almost heat-spoiled bite. Not quite (pun!) what I expected. The raisiny funk blew off a bit, but not enough for me to have a second glass. But, put it under vacuum and thought I would try again tomorrow. Well, it’s tomorrow and the wine is completely different. Still a bit of funk and a touch of bitterness, but interesting in a good way. Would be happy drinking this with tapas in a Spanish cafe. Probably would not buy again, but we’ll worth trying it.

WINECENTURYAZ's recent TN does it well. I loved the solid thread of reductive funk that stayed with this over a couple of nights. I'd like to give the other bottle a couple more years and a decant. But for my taste this is really good right now. Very Good++
14.2% abv, no heat detected
Side note: I appreciate the really light-weight bottle here.

Deep ruby/purple in the glass, bit restrained nose, an earthy funk eases as the wine opens, palate is dry, dark plum, currant, forest floor, bramble berry, elderberrry, hint of black licorice, baking spice, black tea tannins are medium and ripe, acidity is medium +, finish is long. Very nice.

Ripe black fruit but with a hint of brett and a savory meaty aroma. Tannins a bit harsh but alcohol in check. No evidence of wood. Great earthy style

Mörk frukt med lite funk. Ren fruktighet och bra syra. Härlig energi och fantastisk värde för pengarna.
