  dense purple and cloudy. nose immediately gives some pleasing stem notes along with juicy dark berries, black pepper, and olives. super fresh acidity and light to medium body. really smooth. strongly savory with olive brine and dense stony minerality. dark black berry flavors. long dry finish, not much tannin. everything in the right place, great expression of syrah.

  tempered expectations as i opened this just a few days after delivery. slightly cloudy. nose with plenty of steminess and punchy red grapefruit with blueberry juice. acidic, medium bodied. palate is soft compared with most syrah. very juicy mixed berry fruits and shows increasing amounts of black pepper with time out of the bottle. the opposite of brooding syrah. this can be drunk young but will not show it's best self for at least 5 years.
