Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Tanya and I had this last night with a simple but delicious spaghetti bolognese. Clear ruby red, this had wonderfully fragrant ripe red cherry on the nose, with hints of licorice and some light floral notes. Opened up to include some sweeter stewed plum character as well as earth and a bit of old wood. This had ripe sour red cherry on the palate, with classic Barbera acidity and some almost Barolo-like hints of spice and terroir. I loved this...sadly only 2 left. BTW: at $18/bottle this was an absolute bargain!
