1.5L decanted two hours. Consumed over the evening. It's young. Doesn't mean it's not darn good now though. Blue fruit. Tied herbs. Creamy mocha. Dried summer fields. Pencil shavings. Plum. The bluer nose transitioning to red on the palate. A grippy defined tannin and acidity that compliments the roundness. Has the fruit and build to go for a while. Gimme another one of these over anything from Napa at this price point. Love it. Will wait a bit to open another.

Decanted for two hours and finished three days later. Fresh, ripe cherries, cedar, teak, olive tapenade, pickle juice, plums and dried raspberries. A concentrated middle palate and a fair amount of bright acidity, this still has enough bass notes to balance it all out. A true ager and a medium-long finish. Grainy tannins with grip. Wait another 4 - 5 years and study for far too many to fathom. Drink 2027 -.

Very dark with a ruby violet rim. Nice red legs. Even on pop and pour, a very deep nose of crushed berries and purple flowers. Hints of vanilla. Palate also has very big, ripe, dense, flavorful fruit. Vinous was right--this wine is complex and intriguing in every way. It evolves and changes over and over in the mouth. Exotic, hedonistic, exhibitionist--name any adjective you want. This is quite easily the most impressive wine I have ever had--or at least the most impressive cabernet I have ever had--from Sonoma County. A real eye-opener, and one I won't easily forget. Kawabunga! 5-13-19-9: 96/100.
